Subway

The Museum is located near Grand Central Station, one of the world’s most proverbial transportation hubs. The station is the terminus for MetroNorth railway and is served by the following subway lines: S, 4, 5, 6, 7. The Museum entrance is located on East 40th Street.

Bus

Bus service Northbound is provided by the 1, 2, 3, 4 lines going up Fifth Avenue and Southbound on Lexington Avenue by the 101,102 and 103 lines as well as the Q32 and M42. Additionally, shuttle buses to all three major airports, LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark, stop just behind the museum on 41st Street. The Museum entrance is located on East 40th Street.

Parking

Should you decide to drive, there is a parking garage beneath the building as well as several garages on nearby 39th street. The Museum entrance is located on East 40th Street.

Accessibility

Service animals are welcome in the museum. The museum entrance is wheelchair accessible via the building’s main plaza on the corner of Park Ave and E 40th Street. Accessible elevators are located on the first floor of the museum to the left of the admissions desk and gift shop. Public restrooms include accessible facilities.
