Join AKC Museum of the Dog educators at the Bryant Park Art CartĀ for a dog-themed art series. Each Wednesday from June through August, we’ll be making a different craft at this all ages workshop. The outdoor space is also dog-friendly, so bring your pets along as your muse!
These workshops are FREE to all. All materials included and all art can be taken home.
The Art Cart is located on the Upper Terrace, near the William Cullen Bryant statue in Bryant Park.

Join us for a presentation from Dr. Amy Attas, founder of City Pets Vets and author of the new book, Pets and the City: True Tales of a Manhattan House Call Veterinarian. Copies of the book will be available in the shop for you to get autographed and take home as a special souvenir from a memorable night out with your pet.
Dr. Amy is the founder of City Pets VetsĀ®, a veterinary house call service for dogs and cats living, working or visiting in Manhattan. A graduate of Barnard College, she attended the University of Pennsylvania where she received both a Masterās Degree in Animal Behavior and her veterinary degree. Following her graduation in 1987, she completed an internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. After four years in an Upper East Side Animal Hospital, in 1992 she decided to go the extra step in providing excellent veterinary care for her patients and convenience for their families by starting City Pets VetsĀ®, which today is the premier veterinary house call practice.
Enhance your weekend by taking time to Paws to Read with the AKC Museum of the Dog! Join us in our library space on Saturday mornings for a dog-themed storytime complete with special toys and puzzles, art making, and learning about different breeds of dogs. This program is designed for kids 10 and under with an adult learning partner, but everyone is welcome.

Join us for a visit from Rookie from Trenton, NJ!
Rookie the Golden Retriever is the 3rd canine in his family to serve as ‘bat dog’ for the Trenton Thunder baseball team in New Jersey. He retrieves the hitter’s bat when they successfully get on base during the game. Meet him and his handler, Eric Lipsman, in our Library space and chat about baseball and what it takes to train a retriever to ‘play ball.’
This meet and greet is FREE for Members and included in General Admission.
