Following her graduation in 1987, she completed an internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. After four years in an Upper East Side Animal Hospital, in 1992 she decided to go the extra step in providing excellent veterinary care for her patients and convenience for their families by starting City Pets Vets®, which today is the premier veterinary house call practice.

Get to know a dog breed at the AKC Museum of the Dog!
Each month we are highlighting one of the 201 recognized breeds in the American Kennel Club. You’ll learn the history of the breed as well as key characteristics of their anatomy and coat that help them meet the standard. Activities include art-making, stories and books, a collectable breed fact sheet, and an opportunity to meet a live dog.
July’s Breed Spotlight: Golden Retriever
The Golden Retriever, an exuberant Scottish gundog of great beauty, stands among America’s most popular dog breeds. They are serious workers at hunting and field work, as guides for the blind, and in search-and-rescue, enjoy obedience and other competitive events, and have an endearing love of life when not at work. Â Goldens are outgoing, trustworthy, and eager-to-please family dogs, and relatively easy to train. They take a joyous and playful approach to life and maintain this puppyish behavior into adulthood. These energetic, powerful gundogs enjoy outdoor play. For a breed built to retrieve waterfowl for hours on end, swimming and fetching are natural pastimes.
This event is free for Members and included with General Admission. Please be sure to purchase your General Admission tickets for the date of the event.
