9/11 REMEMBERED: SEARCH AND RESCUE DOGS

In the aftermath of 911, the AKC commisioned over 100 DOGNY sculptures to be decorated by local artists and later auctioned for charity garnering $3.5mil for Search and Rescue Dogs. Notable examples, such as Vera Wang’s sequin spangled “Angel” were brought back for display. The exhibition also featured hero dogs from Ron Burns The Dogs of 911 as well as archival photographs and first-hand accounts.
