Get to know a dog breed at the AKC Museum of the Dog!
Each month we are highlighting one of the 201 recognized breeds in the American Kennel Club. You’ll learn the history of the breed as well as key characteristics of their anatomy and coat that help them meet the standard. Activities include art-making, stories and books, a collectable breed fact sheet, and an opportunity to meet a live dog.

When a healthy litter of puppies suddenly becomes paralyzed, all vets say to put them down. Refusing to go that route, a group of women begin an exhilarating journey to save the puppies. Watch Puppy Love, a film documenting this journey, at the AKC Museum of the Dog on Tuesday, February 20th at 4pm. Join Gail Gilbert and her dog Scout, a Labrador Retriever from this special litter of puppies, to watch the film and learn more about the sport of Tracking, Scout’s favorite pastime.
