Whether as loving companions or hard-working partners, the AKC Museum of the Dog, just like the American Kennel Club, believes all dogs have a purpose. Of course, this is especially true for our K9 corps, which exemplify purpose-driven dogs.

This is one of many reasons why, on September 29th we will be paying tribute to the heroic dogs of 9/11 and the police canine officers from across the country. During an evening reception, we will honor the United States Police Canine Association and the K9 Officers and Handlers of 9/11 NYPD/MTA.

With the largest and most significant dog-related art collection in the country, the Museum is in a unique position to host a meaningful acknowledgment for these loyal officers. If you are free that evening, we look forward to having you join the celebration on-site at the AKC Museum of the Dog.

Whether or not you’ll be free to attend in-person, thank you for considering a donation to the only Museum in the country dedicated to showcasing the very special bond between humans and canines.
