NYPD Transit Bureau K-9 Unit: Live Demonstration

Tuesday, December 3 12pm — 2pm

Join us for live demonstrations with the Transit Bureau K-9 Unit. Learn how police dogs are trained to detect and protect as working dogs for the NYPD. The Museum library space transforms so that you these canines in action working alongside their handler partners. Pick up information on the Retired Police Canine Foundation during your visit to learn a little about dogs after retirement and how you can help!

Out of courtesy to our neighbors, only service dogs and invited demonstration dogs are allowed in the museum.

Accessibility

Service animals are welcome in the museum. The museum entrance is wheelchair accessible via the building’s main plaza on the corner of Park Ave and E 40th Street. Accessible elevators are located on the first floor of the museum to the left of the admissions desk and gift shop. Public restrooms include accessible facilities.
