Dog Days of Winter

The AKC Museum of the Dog is excited to announce The Dog Days of Winter juried art competition and exhibition for Members of the Museum.

Your art could hang on the walls of the Museum among great artists like Maud Earl, Edwin Megargee, and many more. Works depicting canines in all media, including painting, sculpture, and drawing, will be considered.

Submissions begin on November 15 and close on January 5! Artwork submissions will only be accepted through the submission form.

Submission is open to all Members of the AKC Museum of the Dog: Members at the Virtual+ level can submit one work, Members at the Individual and Family/Dual levels can submit up to two works, and Members at Blue Ribbon or above can submit up to four works. Library Members may submit up to four works on behalf of their constituency.

Selected artists will be notified by January 10, 2025. The Museum must receive the selected work no later than January 24.

The Dog Days of Winter exhibition of selected works will be on view at the Museum from January 29 through March 2. We will be holding in-person voting on “Best in Show” artwork from January 29 through February 27 and the winner will be announced on February 28.
