Every other year, the AKC Museum of the Dog invites artists from across the country to celebrate the extraordinary bond between people and dogs through original works of art. Selected by a panel of jurors, this year’s exhibition features an inspiring collection of paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and more, each capturing the joy, beauty, humor, and spirit of our canine companions.
But unlike any other exhibition at the Museum, your visit helps determine the winner.
Throughout the exhibition, every guest is invited to cast a vote for their favorite artwork. At the close of the exhibition, the piece receiving the most votes will be awarded the Best in Show, making this the Museum’s only exhibition where visitors help decide the outcome.
Every visitor receives one ballot with admission. Browse all twenty works, choose your favorite, and cast your vote before leaving the Museum. Voting remains open through September 13, and Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show winners will be announced at the artists’ reception on Thursday, September 17
