Free to members but open to everyone, reserve a ticket by signing up here for you and your dog(s). Visit the Museum during our special "furry" friendly hours: 6:00-8:00pm. Tickets are $20 per adult and $5 per dog. Reservations are required to attend and will sell out, so purchase early! Program is 6:00-8:00pm.

*If you will be attending with your dog(s), you will be required to sign a waiver upon entry.

Members are invited to join us for a special Exhibition Preview of The AKC Museum of the Dog at 40: And the Collectors Who Made It. Curator Alan Fausel will be on hand to discuss the selected works and connections to the Museum's history.

The preview will be from 10:00-11:00am before the Museum opens for the day and Members are invited to visit at their leisure. Please make sure to log in on the upper right hand corner to be able to reserve your Member tickets.

New Exhibition Opening: The AKC Museum of the Dog at 40: And the Collectors Who Made It

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Museum's opening, come see our newest special exhibition, The AKC Museum of the Dog at 40: And the Collectors Who Made It. 

This exhibition will bring into focus several of the collectors whose donations had a profound impact shaping the permanent collection and where it stands today. Some of the featured collectors include: Frank Sabella, Marie A. Moore, Cynthia Wood, and Ron Menaker.

On the third Thursday of every month, Members are invited to an exclusive tour of the galleries. Explore different artworks and collections items on a themed tour conducted by an AKC MoD staff member. Additionally, enjoy an extra discount on special spotlight items in the Museum shop available that day only.

Everyone’s invited to bark in Bryant Park at the AKC MoD’s 40^th anniversary dog parade!

This event recognizes 40 years of the Museum’s mission to preserve, interpret, and celebrate the role of dogs in society. We will bring together local dogs and dog lovers of all ages in a festive gathering culminating in a parade of pups around the park. To participate in the parade, dogs must be registered.  The first 100 participants to register will receive a sample of dog treats from Blue Buffalo and a FREE dog ticket to a future Furry Friday event at the AKC MoD.

This event is free and open to everyone--bring the pack and your lunch to picnic in the park while watching the dogs march by.

It’s going to be a tail-wagging, wonderful time!

Join us for a reception to salute the hero dogs of 9/11 and police canine officers across the country.

Program begins promptly at 6:30pm. Tickets are $75; however, there is no charge to invited uniformed first responders.
